The Digi_Mobil is a project that moves between furniture and tool, custom-made and serial object. Conceived for the Association of Museums of the State of Brandenburg, it attempts to be a multidimensional workstation with which exhibits can be examined, cleaned, photographed and digitally recorded.
Based on an aluminum extrusion system, a workstation trolley is created with the purpose of meeting the diverse and specific needs of different museums and their collections. The drawers on the front are based on the Eurobox dimensions and can be easily removed. If an intermediate compartment is needed, the boxes can be replaced with shelves to create space for appropriate material or even equipment such as printers or scanners.
The system of extruded profiles allows photo & lighting equipment to be attached to the Digi_Mobile as desired. The cladding is made of particularly durable and acid-resistant HPL panels and also serves as a table extension.
The project is created during the employment in the office Hundertpfund.

Das Digi_Mobil ist ein Projekt, welches sich zwischen Möbel und Werkzeug, Sonderanfertigung und Serienobjekt bewegt. Konzipiert für den Verband der Museen des Landes Brandenburg, versucht es eine multidimensionale Workstation zu sein, mit welcher Exponate untersucht, gereinigt, fotografiert und digital erfasst werden können.
Basierend auf einem Aluminium-Strangpressprofil-System entsteht ein Werkstattwagen, mit dem Zweck den vielfältigen und spezifischen Anforderungen der unterschiedlichen Museen und deren Sammlungen zu entsprechen. Die Schubladen auf der Vorderseite basieren auf dem Eurokisten-Maß und können problemlos herausgenommen werden. Sollte ein Zwischenfach benötigt werden, können die Kisten mit Einlegeböden ersetzt werden, um so Raum für entsprechendes Material oder auch Gerätschaft wie Drucker oder Scanner schaffen.
Das System aus Strangpressprofilen ermöglicht es, Foto- & Lichtausrüstung nach Belieben an das Digi_Mobil zu befestigen. Die Verkleidung besteht aus besonders strapazierfähigen und säurebeständigen HPL Paneelen und dient gleichzeitig als Tischerweiterung.
Das Projekt entsteht während der Anstellung im Büro Hundertpfund.
